About the Course
Creating a safe, secure, and inclusive learning environment is essential during the foundational years of a child’s development. The Certificate in Safety and Security for Foundational Stage is a 3–5 week, self-paced course designed for educators, caregivers, and parents responsible for the care of children aged 3–8.
The course covers infrastructure and transport safety, classroom and field trip protocols, emergency preparedness, disaster response, and basic first aid. It also trains participants to identify and respond to physical, emotional, and sexual abuse, with guidance on child protection laws like POCSO.
