Instructional Designer

Led end-to-end creation of learner-centric scripts, storyboards, videos, assessments, and reading materials across K12, L&D, teacher training, and vocational programs. Defined quality standards, reviewed inhouse and vendor outputs, and implemented world-class instructional and video production practices. Collaborated cross-functionally with design, animation, QA, tech, and product teams while managing and training external content vendors for consistent, high-quality delivery.

About This Role

Key Responsibilities

1. Scripting:
  • Creation of guidelines and templates for the Instructional Design team to be able to produce high-quality scripts for the video production.
  • Exploring and selecting world-class instructional strategies that suit the needs and requirements of diverse projects.
  • Writing engaging, learner-centric scripts for diverse video projects for our products – K12, Learning & Development, Teacher Training, Vocational Education Reviewing the scripts written by the inhouse and vendor-based Subject Matter Experts and Instructional Designers.
2. Storyboarding:
  • Creation of guidelines and templates for the Instructional Design team to be able to produce high-quality storyboards for the video production.
  • Exploring and selecting world-class instructional strategies that suit the needs and requirements of diverse projects.
  • Create engaging, learner-centric storyboards for diverse video projects for our products.
  • Reviewing the storyboards created by the inhouse and vendor-based Subject Matter Experts and Instructional Designers.
3. Video Production:
  • Research, explore and implement world-class video production and post- production practices.
  • Participate in video production to ensure high quality video output – inhouse and vendor-based.
  • Review video output based on inputs given during the scripting and storyboarding stage.
  • Guide and mentor a team of Instructional Designers to close error-free, high- quality and engaging learning videos.
4. Assessment Production and Reviews:
  • Create engaging quizzes, formative and summative assessments for learners. Review the assessments.
5. Reading Document Production and Reviews:
  • Create engaging reading documents based on learning outcomes for learners. Review the reading documents.
6. Internal Stakeholder Management:
  • Collaborating with the content production and QA teams for incorporating the review feedback and focus on continuous improvement.
  • Collaborating with the graphic design, motion graphics/animation and video production teams – inhouse and vendor-based.
  • Syncing up with the tech and product teams for regular insights on the user experience – what worked and what did not; and providing data-driven inputs to improve the content.
7. External Stakeholder Management:
  • Conduct regular onboarding and development trainings for the content production vendors.
  • Providing regular feedback on content production.

Desired Qualification

Qualification in Instructional Design is a must

Experience

4-6 years of relevant experience as an Instructional Designer

Expected competencies

  • Highly entrepreneurial & taking ownership of work.
  • Proficient in using Interactive Learning tools like Articulate Storyline 360 etc.
